17 LACIGF, Santiago de Chile

We are pleased to announce that the 17th edition of the Latin American and Caribbean Internet Governance Forum – LACIGF, will be held in November 2024 in Santiago de Chile, Chile.  The event will be supported by local organizations and will be developed in partnership with the Youth LACIGF to be held in the same city. 
 
In this edition of LACIGF we will have for the first time spaces for sessions and workshops proposed by multiple actors through a call that will soon be open for the participation of the entire community of Latin America and the Caribbean interested in Internet governance. We will also have high-level sessions on the relevant topics chosen for this year, and other special sessions that will soon be announced. 
 
The topics chosen for this edition of the forum are:

  • AI and Emerging Technologies
  • Human Rights
  • Cybersecurity
  • Universal Access and Meaningful Connectivity
  • Digital Governance and Cooperation
  • Environment and sustainability
  • Education and digital literacy
  • Gender and diversity
  • Ethical and legal challenges
